We're expanding our Access Egress Hardware Team, seeking to a hire an experienced Test Engineer who will focus on both hardware and software components to join us on this journey. If you would like to be a part of shaping the future to connected living through IoT product testing, please apply!

This position will sit onsite full-time New Haven, CT.

What will you be doing?

· Strategic Test Planning: Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for interconnected hardware and software platforms, ensuring the highest quality standards.

· Collaborative Product Development: Work closely with product development teams, contributing to the creation, planning, and implementation of test plans, acceptance criteria, and procedures for both new and legacy product development.

· Certification Excellence: Direct activities supporting product certifications such as FCC, UL, CE, and others, and develop associated certification documentation.

· Innovative Testing Approaches: Be a part of manual and automated testing efforts for mobile apps, windows, and web-based applications. Write specialized testing tools and participate in the design and development of test automation tools, apparatus, and fixtures.

What are we looking for?

· Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

· Must hold a minimum of 4-5 years of work experience supporting an embedded/firmware product line coding in C#, JavaScript, C or Python.

· Versatile Engineering Background: Demonstrate expertise in electronic and/or firmware analysis design, development, and testing, along with experience in embedded micro-controller systems.

· End-to-End Development Experience: Showcase your experience in New Product Development, guiding projects from concept to production.

· Analytical Proficiency: Ability to read and analyze schematics, engineering requirements, data, and test results, ensuring the identification, tracking, and resolution of hardware, firmware, and system level software issues.

· Project Management Excellence: Strong project management skills with the ability to create timelines, track activities, and meet delivery and performance commitments.

· Collaborative Leadership: Exhibit strong leadership skills, collaborating effectively with team members throughout various product development and problem-solving activities.

· Innovation and Initiative: Bring a creative mindset, high initiative, and achievement-oriented goals to the table.

· Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with RFID, WiFi, Zwave, and/or Zigbee networks is preferred. Knowledge and experience with software tools such as Python, C#, Java, and TestComplete are highly valued.

Preferred Skills

· Knowledge of Arduino, Flash Programming, BLE, IEEE488, RFID, Wifi USB and/or serial communications.

· Experience developing test solutions.

· Experience developing Test solutions for complex products.

Test Engineer

Are you an experienced EE / CE / Test Engineer with C# or JavaScript experience looking to join a company focused on Innovation? If so, you might be interested in this exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with a Cross-Functional Development team developing IOT Product test solutions.

Your product development efforts will help to ensure our continued growth and success as the global leader in access solutions. You will be exposed to many technologies and have the opportunity for career development and growth.

What you will be doing

· Software and hardware development for product functional test and configuration of complex embedded products.

· Design. Develop, Deploy new Automated test projects

· Sustain Complex Existing Legacy test projects.

· Data analysis and corrective actions to ensure quality to ensure integrity of test and quality of product.

· Working in a team environment

What we are looking for

· BSEE/BSEET, BSCS/BSCE (or equivalent experience), and at least 2 years of experience in a test and/or product development environment.

· Knowledge of Software development in C# or JavaScript or C or Teststand / Labview

· Must be detail oriented, organized, and conscientious.

· Ability to manage projects; schedules and priorities.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).

· Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interface with persons of multiple disciplines and job functions, including software/firmware engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, program managers, production personnel, and outside vendors.

· Ability to work independently and in a fast paced team mixed hardware / software environment.

Helpful experience and skills:

· Embedded development skills

· Previous experience developing or implementing test solutions (hardware / software).

· Previous experience performing failure diagnosis and certification of electronic hardware, firmware and software.

· Working knowledge of WLAN, LAN networks.

· Knowledge of commercial design & testing tools:

o (e.g., Solid Works, Altium, LabVIEW, Visual Studio, Teststand, Scripting, Teststand / LabVIEW, Python)

· Knowledge of other tools: SVN, GIT, Agile, JIRA

· Knowledge of Other Items: Arduino, Flash Programming, BLE, IEEE488, RFID, USB, Serial Communications

· IOT / BLE RF experience
