RESPONSIBILITIES: Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments as needed. • Replaces defective parts by dismantling and reassembling devices; using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools; examining condition of parts. • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, power tools, and the like.
- Controls downtime by performing and documenting routine preventive maintenance; monitoring operational compliance. • Utilize blueprints, plans, electrical drawing and code specifications to complete job tasks, repair machinery and set machines to specification. • Troubleshoot, testing. and repair of manufacturing equipment which can include various electrical, mechanical, and control systems to ensure that they are working properly.
- Run tests, isolation of problems, replacing worn or malfunctioning parts. • Perform upgrades or preventive maintenance to electrical control systems. • Inspect, test, repair, and install systems or equipment correctly to assure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. • Recommends actions to improve maintenance activities and operations.
- Building and plumbing repair/maintenance activities as required. • May be required to retrofit equipment with controls needed to improve the efficiency and performance of the devices. • Will comply with all safety policies and procedures. • Assist in other areas and perform other duties as assigned.
Experience with CMMS systems In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers, VFD's, and industrial control systems. Working knowledge of Class I, Div. I and Div.
