Electrical Technician

International Cybernetics Company (ICC) is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician with a strong background in electronics and computers to join our Production team. This individual must possess the ability to understand, build, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, including printed circuit boards (PCB), computer systems, and both serial and Ethernet communications cabling.
This position requires travel for repairs, installation, and maintenance of customer systems, Domestically and Internationally.

Based in Largo, FL, International Cybernetics Company (ICC) has designed and manufactured devices to collect road surface data since its founding in 1975. In May of 2022, ICC acquired Infrastructure Management Services (IMS), which is now fully integrated as the services division of ICC. Together, ICC and IMS boast almost five decades of experience in pavement engineering and analysis, software development, automated data collection equipment manufacturing, and ROW mapping.

Responsibilities:
• Document build processes, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Install and configure custom hardware and software (training provided).
• Testing components, assemblies, and full systems as required (training provided).
• Complete repairs, installations, and maintenance on customer systems.
• Provide on-site support at customer facilities for system repairs, installations, demonstrations, and customer training. At least 25% of time with be travel.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
• 1-2 years' experience in an Electrical Technician or related role.
• Ability to work with appropriate testing equipment, including oscilloscope, multi-meter, and signal generator.
• Read and comprehend detailed technical wiring diagrams, schematics, and bills of materials.
• Good computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Windows OS 7 and 10 installation and setup and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of computer configuration, repair, integration, and problem resolution and experience with building computers and troubleshooting issues with video cards, PCI/ISA cards, routers, network connections, and cabling.
• Attention to detail and a positive "get it done" attitude are necessary.
• Possesses a valid US Passport or ability to acquire a US passport for international travel.
Nice to Have Qualifications:
• Diploma in electrical or computer technology or similar.
• Experience with skid testers, road profilers, or other road data collection equipment.
• Experience with GPS equipment or surveying.
• Road construction experience.
• Experience with writing technical documentation for troubleshooting and operations is a plus.
Salary Description
$19.00 - 23.00 per hour
