The Senior Product Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of developed electronics. This engineer will apply a broad skill set pertaining to electrical/electronics development including technical orchestration and customer release of prototype and production electronic modules, requirements definition, supplier coordination, final test coordination, shipping and logistics. The engineer will simultaneously be involved in multiple development projects as well as having direct interaction with customers and suppliers.
- Coordinate module HW and SW customer requirements
- Support project proposal development with other engineering input
- Program manage all activities pertaining to project execution
- Track and ensure product deliverables meet prototype and production timing expectations
- Support returned part material root cause investigations
- Support business development and marketing regarding new opportunities
- Ensure defined project financials are in line with expectations throughout the project lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience as Product Engineer in a similar capacity
- 1+ year of relevant experience in a vehicle program management capacity
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar
- Demonstrated ability in interpreting, assessing, and coordinating complex vehicle systems and architectures regarding electronics and overall vehicle E/E development processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional communication skills to be able to present and interact with clients
- Diverse technical program management skills in an R&D and/or production environment
- Experienced in multiple industries (e.g. automotive, commercial vehicles, off-highway, etc.)
- Direct experience managing electronic module releases and full lifecycle management
- Ability to interact and work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
