Electrical Intern Overview:
Under the supervision of maintenance employees, the Electrical Intern is responsible for troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment to ensure production needs are met. They work towards achieving high performance goals and providing excellent customer service to help Walsworth become a leading provider of printing services. This position is am on-site, full-time, 12-week internship, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm and pays $18/hour.
What You'll Do:
Troubleshoot all electrical equipment, transformers, switch gears and panels.
· Performs preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
· Troubleshoots, repairs and upgrades all electrical equipment.
· Orders electrical parts.
· Performs all work to NEC code specifications.
· Supports the maintenance department in other areas of work as needed.
· Performs other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
· One-year certificate from a college or technical school.
· Lift truck license required or must be able to obtain.
· High level of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installation skills.
· Strong mechanical aptitude.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Knowledge of AC/DC electricity, basic hydraulics and pneumatics
· Frequent standing, using hands, and talking or hearing.
· Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job including but not limited to: occasional walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling, frequent lifting and moving up to 10 pounds, occasional lifting and moving up to 100 pounds, and must have vision abilities to perform necessary work.
· Must hold U.S. work authorization and be able to pass a preemployment background check and drug screen

Internship compensation is set at $18/hr and includes an optional 401(k) program and company match and two, paid days off for the Independence Day holiday. Walsworth is an equal opportunity employer. QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours towards a degree program OR completion of at least four semesters of college (preferred)
- Have reliable transportation to and from the assigned office location
