Keystone Powdered Metal Company a world leader in the Powdered Metal Industry has an opening for a Electrician Helper at its Cherryville NC location. Since 1927 Keystone has pioneered many advancements in technology and products in the PM industry. Today Keystone is part of Sumitomo Electric’s Industrial Materials segment which has thirteen P/M companies located in nine different countries around the world. Keystone operates plants in St. Mary's and Lewis Run, Pennsylvania, Cherryville and Troutman North Carolina.
PURPOSE
Perform general electrical maintenance and construction.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
To assist in the installation, maintenance and activities of presses, ovens, and other pieces of plant equipment and systems.
To efficiently and safely do the general electrical maintenance.
(such as lighting, alarms systems, ventilation, motors, and other circuitry)
To know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification.
Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information.
Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from its use to insure continuation of control conditions.
Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors
and others with a need to know.
Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.
Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain tools and instruments that are used on the job.
Perform other tasks as requested.
Provide assistance in writing new or revising old procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to perform work using trade knowledge within the National
Electrical Code and that specific to Keystone Engineering Standards.
Must have a minimum of 1 years of post-high school electrical education or
equivalent industrial experience.
Understands decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Read and understand blueprints at the most technical nature.
Use the equipment needed on the job, such as power threader, conduit bender, soldiering, welding, and cutting equipment.
Maintain and build equipment needed to do the job.
Demonstrate effective writing skills with regards to appropriate
records, reports and procedures.
Demonstrate satisfactory relational skills with regards to communications,
cooperative associations and participation in continuous improvement.
Exhibit knowledge of applicable procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1.00 - $100.00 per hour
