What We Do:
EWIS MRB Engineering is responsible for evaluating aircraft wiring discrepancies during aircraft manufacturing build, test, and flight and rendering dispositions to return the aircraft to certified type design data requirements while complying with EWIS requirements across all large cabin programs. Our mission is to provide direct aircraft support to manufacturing to ensure on time certification of the highest quality aircraft.
Typical Responsibilities:

• Develops solutions to a variety of problems of varying scope and complexity following established Company and FAA policies and practices
• Communicate new issues/trends with Electrical EWIS Design Engineers
• Interpret engineering drawings and facilitate correction of errors on drawings & test documents identified during aircraft build
• Provide technical consultation to the manufacturing teams as well as external vendors/suppliers

Desired / Unique Skills

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred
• Good communication skills, motivation, and willingness to learn on the job
• Ability to understand/interpret electrical schematics/diagrams
• Possesses good problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with electrical wiring, connectors, harness routing, wiring applications, & system separation
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, loom assemblies, & harness installations
• Basic understanding of EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems) requirements under 14 CFR Part 25 subpart H and Part 26 and ICA (Instructions for Continued Airworthiness)
• Demonstrates ability to work well in a team-oriented environment as well as work independently
• Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations
• Strong technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research or engineering internships
• Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to engineering, within an aerospace company

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Entry level. 0-18 months experience.
Position Purpose:
Performs engineering work related to the investigation and solution of basic problems associated with research, design, development, service and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:

1. Provides technical assistance to engineering staff and contributes by completing discrete engineering tasks on schedule .
2. Using company procedures, applies engineering knowledge to resolve routine issues .
3. Analyzes and evaluates results of project activities .
4. Prepares recommendations for changes and compiles necessary reports for various department supervision .
5. Recognizes discrepancies and/or problems with analysis/test results and works toward corrective action .

Additional Functions:

1. Actively works to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets customer requirements .
2. Continues learning and developing knowledge of application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise .
