The CNS Surveillance Group in Melbourne, Florida is seeking to fill an Electrical/FPGA Engineering Co-op Position. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June- December; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past December 2024. The primary responsibility for this position will be to participate in a SEPP project to develop extended Range ADS-B Receiver on the Traffic Transmitter and Receiver for the Next Generation Air Transportation Systems.  Duties will include FPGA design, development, test, analysis and simulation, board level debug and test.

This position is onsite based out of our Melbourne, FL site location; may be eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design FPGA firmware to meet requirements per established guidelines under supervision of an experienced engineer

• Analyze and simulate design to ensure project requirements are met

• Perform code entry, synthesis, simulation and on-target testing

• Write FPGA design documents and test plans

• Debug product and features using standard tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, emulators, etc.

• Analyze and interpret measured data

• Flight testing of department products

Basic Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Signal processing and Electrical Engineering Lab courses

• Completion of analog and digital circuit and FPGA digital design courses.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
