Electrical Engineer Revit Tech/Designer

The successful candidate for the Electrical Engineering Revit Technician/Designer position will work under the supervision of a lead Electrical Engineer, and will perform electrical design for a variety of projects.
Your Role:

• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set up and manage electrical construction drawings
• Incorporating design changes using Revit
• Prepare dimensional drawings, create and/or modify base drawings
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes
• Create and manage electronic document file structure, naming conventions in accordance with company standards
• Work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output
• Work on multiple projects at the same time to successful completion
• Follow CAD standards, whether the customer's or Tetra Tech's
• Work with project teams on drawings which meet and exceed the customer's requirements (bid and submittal phase)
• Preparing, reviewing, or modifying one-line diagrams, elevation diagrams, electrical floor plans, schedules, and detail sheets
• Meeting project schedules and performing work within budgetary constraints;
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Associate degree or Bachelors degree of completion in CAD drafting or related field from a technical trade school, plus at least two years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Experience using Autodesk Revit for electrical drawing and following client standards. For Autodesk Revit experience, knowledge linking files, setting up plan views, using view templates, and worksets is preferred
• Experience with Revit add on tools is a plus
• Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications
• Experience with the design of several types of facilities (e.g., offices, laboratories, facilities, pump stations and wastewater treatment plants)
• Design of lighting and lighting control systems
• Design of fire alarm, security, and other low-voltage systems is a plus
• Familiar with design parameters related to electrical work for buildings at a minimum, water and wastewater treatment plants is a plus.
• Good understanding of NEC and other regulations associated with electrical safety and construction is a plus;
• Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office
• Able to work with minimal supervision, exercise independent judgment
• Able to efficiently schedule and manage time
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
• Must be able to achieve generally stated objectives and requirements
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills;
• A valid driver's license, and ability to travel to client offices and project sites;
