Form of workPrimary responsibilities
- Perform schematic design (Altium preferred), select topologies and components best suited for the application
- Develop automated test tools such as Labview applications
- Ability to troubleshoot and make modification to software and firmware (C\C++) using MicroChip PIC18, PIC24,dsPIC
- Work often involves analog/digital hardware and embedded firmware.
- Position requires knowledge of and exposure to hardware design (boards, harnesses, enclosures, connectors).
- Work with laboratory equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters…
- Determine root cause and fault analysis
- Ensure subsequent design changes are documented and transmitted as required to internal and external resources.
- Must be able to work as an integral part of a team
- Some travel to test facilities, suppliers may be required
- Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
competencies
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of experience as Electrical Engineer
- Working knowledge of Analog electronics, Altium CAD preferred
- Working knowledge of Labview
- Working knowledge of C\C++ programming language
