Job DescriptionAs a member of a team of multi-disciplinary engineers the candidate will assist with the design and development of innovative hearing-related products. General responsibilities will include design of embedded system architecture, mixed-signal circuit design and firmware development. The candidate must be capable of integrating with the engineering team to take on complex design challenges and develop innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
• Design of analog and digital circuitry
• Embedded system design
• Participate in board-level design and validation of electronic circuits including component selection, schematic generation and PCB layout
• Develop and assist with implementation of test plans for analog and digital circuitry
• Participate in developing project plans, design objectives, implementation schedules and cost estimates
• Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assume a project leadership role
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Mixed-signal and embedded board-level design experience
- Experience in building, debugging and testing electronic circuits
- Experience with schematic and PCB layout tools (e.g. Altium)
- Experience in programming microcontrollers and embedded firmware development
- Knowledge of serial communication buses (e.g. USB, SPI, I2C)
- Desired Qualifications
- Experience with DSP, microcontrollers and embedded firmware development (e.g. ARM Cortex, PIC)
- Experience with Python, MATLAB & SPICE simulation
- Experience with Bluetooth technology
- 5 to 10 years work experience
