Job Description
Our large manufacturing client located in Peoria, Illinois, is looking for an Electrical Engineer, to add to their team.
Position's Contributions to Work Group:
- Position will be responsible for the development of electronics harnessing for 9-18L engines. Designing and modifying electrical designs for engines. Assisting the project team leads in doing those activities.
Typical task breakdown:
- Workday typically 8-4:30pm Monday -Friday. This
- is a 100% desk environment position.
Interaction with team:
- Engineer will work with team lead and process partners on daily basis to determine design requirements and verify harness routing and design with process partners.
Work environment:
Office cubical environment with access to other team members for mentoring and guidance.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology required. Electrical Engineering OR mechanical engineering preferred, agricultural or mechanical engineering is ok. 2-4 years of exp.
- Willing to accept associates degree with more work experience
Technical Skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability. Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations. Ability to perform details calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction and installation standards and specifications.
- Top skill: ability to apply principles of electrical theory using CAD based harness modeling tools and software related to create electronics harnessing for engines.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills that allow the person two work with team members from multiple geographic locations and engineering levels. Detailed team player capable of analyzing and solving complex problems.
