An Electrical Drafter position is available with our client in San Luis Obispo, CA. In this role, you will collaborate closely with electrical engineers to transform conceptual designs into detailed schematics and technical drawings. This role involves creating precise diagrams, such as wiring layouts and system plans, which are crucial for guiding the construction or modification of electrical systems. To be considered for this role, you will have an Associate's Degree and 3+ years of related experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Create drawings for new and existing electrical products (PCBs, wire harnesses, ground support equipment)
* Create documentation packages (drawings, procedures, specifications, etc.) for new and existing products
* Observe and assist engineering and production teams in resolving issues
* Communicate challenges with leadership
* Support the design, development, prototyping, and documentation of electrical systems for unmanned aircraft.
* Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, aerospace) and departments (production, quality assurance).
* Participate in documentation peer reviews.
* Maintain high standards quality within the team.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
* U.S. person, per ITAR definition
* Ability to draft, read, and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Familiarity with PCBs and wire harnesses.
* Strong people and communication skills, willing to work with others
* Experience wit creating production quality engineering drawings using Altium or similar PCB design software.
