COMPENSATION
$80,000 - $100,000
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in developing electrical documents using architectural background layouts and system performance requirements defined by the project team including the architect, engineer and project manager
  • Assists in pre-design project activities, such as site assessment, site plan review, and verification of as built conditions
  • Assists project team to find optimum system sizing, routing, materials, and space management for equipment and electrical distribution systems
  • Assists senior staff with services during construction, including responding to RFIs, shop drawing and submittal review, and as-built drawings
  • Coordinates with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering/ internal and external)
  • Assists in developing projects in compliance with engineering codes, standards, principles, relevant specifications and contractual requirements
  • Assists in the production of construction documents under the supervision of a Professional Engineer and coordinate with other disciplines
  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
  • Mentor interns and junior members of project teams
  • Assists in development of construction drawings, specifications, details, schedules and diagrams for electrical and lighting systems
  • Assists in performing quality control reviews of work developed by others
  • Assists in performing calculations: power (load, fault, voltage drop, etc.), lighting, feeder sizing, electrical equipment sizing and the like
    • Assists in performing technical tasks using applicable standards, procedures and codes
    • Assist in providing technical expertise for studies and design efforts
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6+ years of experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree with technical focus preferred
  • Proficient in the use Autodesk Building Systems Software
  • Individual must possess strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships
  • Energetic and self-motivated
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products
