Electrical Designer

About Us:

NHWL Engineering is an engineering consulting firm located in Tallahassee, FL. Our team of mechanical, civil, structural, instrumentation, and electrical engineers do detailed design for industrial projects. We produce the construction documentation for contractors to take to the field and build new facilities and add-ons to existing facilities.

Position Description:

You will be required to provide electrical and instrumentation models, schematics, drawings, lists, and other documentation for a variety of projects under the supervision of an electrical engineer and/or lead/senior designer. This will also require coordination with other engineering disciplines.

You will be asked to work with a project team to coordinate the structural designs with other engineering disciplines as well as client requirements, and you will be asked to direct the work of junior engineers and designers concerning document production. The position will require interface with vendor personnel and with the client’s personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and picking up red-lines from our electrical team.
• Data entry into excel lists and our database software.
• Developing electrical and instrumentation schematic drawings
• Design in 3D software, Aveva E3D including cable tray, instrumentation, instrument stands, lighting, and other E&I components.
• Cutting 2D drawings from our 3D software
• Assisting our document control staff in the upkeep of RFI’s and submittals.

Experience:

• NHWL is open to entry level or experience applicants for this position. The wide pay range reflects this.

Pay: $18.00 - $42.00 per hour
