MJ is seeking anElectrical Design Engineerto join our widely respected and diverse Civil Facilities Division with flexibility to be assigned to one of our New York, New England or Southeast office locations.
Successful candidate must be a technically well-versed Electrical Engineer to assist in the design of power distribution, lighting, communications, fire detection and alarm, and security building systems as well as highway and airfield lighting and control systems. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or on path to obtain PE strongly preferred.
Primary responsibilities include working on all phases of projects such as pre-design scoping, plan design, specifications, project team coordination, construction documents, bidding, construction review and inspection, code analysis, client relations and consultant interaction.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science or Technology Degree in Electrical Engineering course work that includes layout and design of power distribution at building voltage levels and lighting designs required.
- PE licensure or on path to obtain PE license preferred.
- 0 - 10 years of Electrical Design experience in commercial, industrial and institutional building facilities.
- Sustainable design experience with LEED accreditation a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office.
- Superior organizational and interpersonal skills to work effectively as a team, develop and maintain client relations, meet project demands and schedules.
- Some field work travel may be required
Pay Range:

The pay range listed in this posting is an approximation and representation of our good faith effort to provide the anticipated salary range. The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to the candidate's work location, relevant experience, educational background, licensure or certifications, and capabilities compared to the requirements of the advertised position.
Pay Range: $31-$45 / hour
