Job Description
The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling a series of electrical powerheads for overhead door operating systems. This position will also require some phone support for customers with technical issues. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Wages based on experience.
Duties: review and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics and project instructions; assemble electronics/door operating systems; test completed assemblies; learn to perform preventative maintenance on equipment; assist with prototyping processes; perform inventory control functions; handle special projects; perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip reach, stoop, kneel, push, pull and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis, do repetitive work and wear safety glasses and boots while in production area.
Qualifications: prior experience preferred; technical knowledge of electrical; read ohms meter; forklift certified or ability to obtain certification; operate small overhead crane; proven self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision and follow directions; good interpersonal communication skills; problem-solving skills; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to recognize quality expected and reproduce it; customer-focused, team-oriented attitude.
