Electricial Apprentice
Northridge Electric a division of Burgos Group is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to work in the Albuquerque, NM and surrounding areas. Work will consist of assisting the Electrician Journeyman/Foreman in the installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the electrical construction industries.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Assist Electrician Journeyman/Foreman in installing and repairing wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
Measures and cut pipe conduit to specified length, using power and hand tools.
Threads conduit ends, using pipe threader, and connect couplings and conduit fittings, using wrench.
Fabricates conduit support brackets.
Secures brackets to bulkheads with screws and bolts and pulls wires through conduit leading to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals.
Strips insulation from wire ends.
Qualifications Include:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Enrolled in Apprentice classes at an accredited school or be willing to be enrolled and attend.
· Positively identify colors of wires
· Ability to use power and hand tools
· Position requires ability to perform services throughout New Mexico, including possible overnight travel
· Awareness of operational safety requirements in work environment and ability to apply and follow procedures and requirements per regulations
· Should be customer-service driven
· Required: Valid New Mexico Driver\u2019s License
· Own basic tools required on the jobsite
Physical Demands include:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. Employee is required to regularly stand, walk, climb stairs/ladder, sit, use hands/fingers; and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to remain in work area for several hours at a time. Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to fifty (50) pounds and frequently lifts and/or moves up to ten (10) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Requires manual dexterity in combination of eye/hand coordination. Work environment is subject to many interruptions, varying and unpredictable situations and time pressures related to multiple tasks. Work may be conducted both inside and outside. Individual is required to drive between sites.
