West Coast Automation is hiring HVAC Control Technicians/Installers.
We are a locally owned and operated small business looking to grow our team.
Perform the following duties:
- Removal and installation of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) devices, sensors, transmitters and other components. Installation includes any conduit and cabinets that might be needed by a given DDC system.
- Loading and commissioning of DDC devices, confirming/calibration of sensors and inputs/outputs.
- Implementation and modification of existing DDC graphics and creation/modification of supervisor databases.
- Project coordination and interaction with customers point of contact and or job superintendent as required.
- Complete project documentation and other paperwork such as service reports and timecards as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work within construction and occupied customer environments.
- Must comply with all safety requirements and be properly attired with the following:
- Steal toe boots or shoes with non-slip and electrical safety rating at ALL times
- Company provided logoed polo with non-ripped or torn blue jeans and leather belt.
- Safety vest when on construction jobs/projects.
- Hard hat when on construction jobs/projects.
- When utilizing lifts fall restraint harness.
- Not complying with any of the above safety requirements is grounds for immediate removal from a project and equates to breach of this contract.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Ability to climb and work on all types of ladders, man lifts and or scaffolding.
Tools and Vehicles:
- Worker must provide all hand tools and computers needed to perform the duties above with the exception of the following:
- Specific software that is unique to any job/project (Tridium, CCT, PCT, etc.) will be provided by WCAS.
- Diagnostic tools such as network testers, radios, protocol converters and other rarely used tools as needed.
- Worker must provide his/her own transportation capable of containing all tools needed for performance of duties. An allowance will be provided to offset any excess travel that occurs while performing job/project duties.
- Worker will provide all vehicle insurance, maintenance and other miscellaneous costs that occur with vehicle ownership.
Other Items:
- Any job/project costs incurred by worker will be provided via a WCAS debit card. These costs will be documented via an expense report submitted weekly with timesheet.
- Any job/project costs incurred by worker that is paid out of his/her pocket will be reimbursed at end of work week directly. An expense report and receipt must be provided to WCAS.
Compensation:
- Submission of a time sheet listing project names, job numbers and time spent at end of each work week.
- Payment will be provided within 3 weeks of timecard submission.
- Hourly Rates: $18-28/hr
