Job Summary:

The Moser Energy Systems Electrical Engineer is responsible for the development and execution of innovative power system Electrical and Controls designs. The primary role will include designing, prototyping, testing, and optimizing electrical components, system controllers, software development, and controller programming.

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Electrical Engineer, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.

Supervisor:

Senior Vice President, Engineering & Innovation, unless otherwise designated.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, design, and develop electrical components and systems that meet project requirements.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 3d models and engineering drawings.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and performance analysis for electrical designs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within larger projects.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for design processes, specifications, and standards.
  • Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation of electrical designs.
  • Continuously optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical design.
  • Collaborates with representatives from various functional groups assigned to the product or program including but not limited to design engineering, purchasing, production, manufacturing engineering, and inspection staff.
  • Works with teams of engineers and product specialists to ensure design and performance specifications are achieved.
  • Reviews design, manufacturing, and testing documentation.
  • Identifies the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions.
  • Offers technical guidance and support in response to testing and analysis.
  • Ensures design and performance specifications compliance by reviewing and testing the designed systems.
  • Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
  • Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.
  • Use the correct tools and use them safely.
  • Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  • Abide by all policies and procedures established by Moser Energy Systems.
  • Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and rapid prototyping.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Exceptional planning, time management and organizational skills.
  • Must treat everyone equally with respect and dignity.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to work legally in the US.
  • Pass a drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit and/ or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to interact with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
  • To best service our customers, all employees must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as typing.
