Job description

General Description:
Electrical PM will be involved with managing and estimating electrical design, engineering and construction projects that will vary in size and location. These projects will also encompass various industries and maybe throughout the Hilcorp managed assets. This position will assist in creating/finding new bidding opportunities, initiate job estimates from start to finish, plan the awarded work, executes the awarded project, monitor, and control the project, and finally close the project out with the assistance of other departments.
The Electrical Project Manageris the single point of accountability for the delivery of the project, including design (where applicable), scope, cost & schedule. Project sizes will typically range from $10,000 to $7.5MM annually.
This position will be responsible for driving CCI's Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. CCI Industrial Services leads the industry in Safety, Innovation, and Excellence. CCI's mission is to provide quality-driven, cost-effective construction, maintenance, industrial cleaning, power generation, and transportation services to support resource development companies.

  • Strong understanding of industry practices, processes and standards and their impact on project activities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; good computer skills including MS Project, Word, and Excel
  • Good technical writing skills are required.
  • Contractor coordination
  • Lead and perform meaningful value engineering analysis without sacrificing safety or quality.
  • Ability to lead pre-construction activities on major and minor projects.
  • Self-starter/self-leadership to complete projects within bid time constraints (time management).
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines timely.
  • Put together estimates for new work and execute
  • Assist in achieving growth targets by working with the business development department and engineering to propose modifications to systems that results in securing incremental throughput.
  • Ability to interface with Area Team Leads, Operations Managers, Facility Foreman, to request labor resources, understand, present, draft schedules and manpower loading.
  • Understand and coordinate installation methods of civil, mechanical, and electrical works, so as to prevent physical interference of the final installed product between the installation types.

  • Working knowledge with electrical (High/Expert), mechanical (General), pipe work (General), civil work (General), structural work (General)
  • Utilize project proposals and contracts as a management tool.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and severe outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations.

Requirements:Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is
  • A valid driver's license is
  • Detailed knowledge base of industrial electrical estimating methods in the areas of, power, controls, automation, instrumentation, lighting, contract maintenance, data/voice, fiber optic wiring, and project management.
  • Working knowledge of industrial construction, design, finance, and project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical Administrator License

Physical and technical requirements that meet the standards of CCI Industrial Services. Lifting up to 40 lbs. will be required, as well as pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs., carrying up to 40 lbs., and shoveling up to 20 lbs. Frequent walking and standing will be necessary, as will frequent keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting and reaching.
