Electric Motor Mechanic Apprentice
Job Type: Full Time
Job Description: Romanoff Industries is looking for an individual who wants to start a new career at a local, family-owned company that has been in business since 1979. This position requires no Electric Motor experience but is intended for someone who has a mechanical aptitude, likes to work with tools and their hands, and who is willing to learn and grow within our company to ultimately become a master Electric Motor Mechanic.
Responsibilities:
· Know and follow all company safety rules including maintaining a safe and clean work area, and wearing required PPE at all times
· Learn how to disassemble, test, service, and assemble AC/DC Electric Motors through work instructions and on the job training
· Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Must be dependable, arriving to work on time every day
· Communicate status of work and updates to shop manager and other parties involved
· Use basic mathematics to measure whether parts are in spec or need repair
Requirements:
· Good communication skills – written, verbal, and listening
· Detail oriented and self-motivated
· Basic mechanical aptitude – knows how to use basic hand tools (sockets, wrenches, drives) and likes to work with their hands
· Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
