Electric Motor & Generator Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION: The position is responsible for repair of pumps, motors, controls, generators, diesel engines, blowers, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Disassemble and inspect Electric Motors, pumps and gearbox, etc.
• Develop a repair scope of work.
• Service/repair equipment as required.
• Test operation of the equipment.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

· Must have experience with troubleshooting and repair of the following types of equipment:

o Electric motors, AC & DC.

o Electric generators.

· Must be able to read blueprints.

· Must have experience working with electricity and electrical components.

· Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings a plus.

· Strong mechanical aptitude is a must.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.

· Must be able to work well with others.

· Must be reliable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
