- Responsible for building and managing courses and supporting elements in the appropriate format (such as video, eLearning, hands-on labs, assessments).
- Develop dynamic, customized, experiential eLearning courses and multimedia learning content including infographics, videos, audio voiceover, interactive simulation, and animations.
- Contribute expertise and innovative approaches; bring leading-edge thinking, methodologies and approaches to learning technology.
- Partner with Instructional Designer to create highly technical eLearning content using advanced multimedia development tools and programming languages.
- Ensure adherence to eLearning standards and implement best practices for technical content development.
- Utilize a variety of development methods to create immersive learning experiences (e.g., JavaScript and other advanced languages/frameworks).
- Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, eLearning trends, focusing on quality over quantity, leveraging data and AI, building communities, going visual with video content and best practices for publishing standards.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues related to eLearning content, platforms, and integrations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to resolve challenging problems efficiently.
- Responsible for monitoring the Redwood University website to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and guidelines for eLearning.
- Possess a strong background in curriculum development for technical SaaS products or a combination of software development and curriculum development.
- 3-5 years of technical curriculum development experience.
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools and multimedia development software, such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Camtasia or other video editing software, etc.
- Experience developing multimedia production based on experiential, adult-centered learning, and utilizing blended learning and innovative technologies.
- Passion for creating eLearning and multimedia as well as staying current with emerging technologies and trends in both e-learning and the broader tech industry.
- In-depth knowledge of eLearning standards, including SCORM, AICC, and xAPI.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess a basic understanding of Learning Management System configuration and structure.
- Excellent written, visual design, and verbal communication skills.
- Consistent track record of delivering quality projects on time.
- Experience with Agile content development methodology is a plus
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices and ability to apply them to project work is a plus.
