The Elastic Engineer has significant experience working with large Elasticsearch managed clusters. This role will be responsible for resolving production issues, managed cluster performance optimization, capacity planning, enhancing monitoring capabilities for early issue detection, driving operational readiness and ongoing maintenance. 

Qualifications

Skills and Certification 

• 1-2 years of Unix/Linux experience 
• 1-2 years of Elasticsearch experience in production, in medium to large managed clusters 
• Experience with scripting a plus (i.e. JavaScript, Groovy, Python, Bash, Golang, etc.) and working from the command line in a Linux environment 
• Experience building Elastic managed clusters and installing plugins 
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch sharing, partitioning, aliases, watchers, etc. 
• Experience in query languages and writing queries with joins that deals with a large amount of data 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
