Responsibilities- Ensures physical and workforce resources are adequate to meet the organization's production schedule.
- Manages the activities of production personnel including workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
- Develop position specific training programs for both the processing and packaging areas
- Work with peer group in identifying equipment upgrades; including sourcing, justification and installation
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) using information to prioritize line audits
- Ensure compliance with food safety protocols
- Drive product variation reduction in the manufacturing processes
- Continually study the manufacturing process looking for quality and efficiency improvement areas
- Support line management in developing budgets and achieving continuous improvement areas and cost reduction
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Actively participates in production process when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Required.
- 5-7 year's production manufacturing experience required. Within food industry/consumer packaged goods preferred
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) required
- Experience with Food Safety Program and Food Safety Audits preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite in addition to knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
