Department Description:

Under direction of the EKG Supervisor/Coordinator, the incumbent is expected to adhere to system and department compliance policies and any applicable laws and regulations.

Prepares patients for EKG testing and performs the test. This includes knowledge and support functions for CIS, Muse and CardioDay software systems. Applies holter monitor and instructs patient in use of holter monitors. Coordinate procedures for the department.

Works well as part of a team or independently. Maintains a positive, professional, compassionate attitude towards patients and fellow healthcare providers.

Schedule:

• Full-Time Status

• Shifts between 5:30 am to 5:30 pm including rotating Holiday/Weekend coverage

• Located at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA

Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• CPR – BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association required
• Experience and Dysrhythmia experience preferred
• EKG certification a plus
