SEP-Job Descriptions The EKG TEch performs regular EKG's, applies Ambulatory Monitors and completes any office duties that are relative to the examinations performed within the department or other duties relative to the department operation. Must demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background. Job Duties Takes EKG equipment to patients room, explains the procedure to the patient and assists the patient as required to obtain a high quality examination and evaluate each procedure to assure accuracy and high quality Performs examinations as outlined in Compliance 360 Receives computerized requests for procedures.

Retrieves old records so as to allow comparative interpretation Enters all required information into the computer relative to the examination Tests equipment daily and reports any defect to the Cardiology Manager Assists in Quality Assurance activities as directed by the manager Participates in training program within the department Qualifications Education, Credentials, Licenses: High school graduate Specialized Knowledge: Complete knowledge of the operation of the EKG department Kind and Length of Experience: Six months EKG training.
