Description

Under supervision performs electrocardiographic exams using a variety of ECG equipment and procedures. Performs stress testing using both exercise and pharmacologic modalities. Performs transcription of all dictated ECG interpretations. Assists in maintaining patient information/billing logs and electronic databases. Assists ECG Dept supervisor in carrying out transfers/merges within electronic storage database.

This posting is for multiple openings of an EKG Technician at Providence Alaska Medical Center, AK. We offer several openings for various FTEs and shifts. We are hiring for the following positions as EKG Technician.

EKG Technician - Full-Time (0.9 FTE, Variable Shift, 40 Hours Per Week)

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • One year: Patient care experience in an acute care setting.
  • Experience in operating standard office equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years: Experience in ECG/Stress ECG in an acute hospital care setting.
  • ECG transcription experience.
  • ICD10 coding experience.
  • Experience maintaining electronic patient database.
