Job description

The EHS/Workers’ Compensation Administrator supports the EHS Department in a variety of administrative functions, including but not limited to document control flow, workers’ compensation (WC) and auto claims, tracking, reporting, and supporting EHS and Risk Management-related data and systems to varying levels of the enterprise. They are responsible for maintaining claims through monitoring and administration, report generation and communication.

  • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects and proprietary information.
  • Function as the primary communication conduit between Clark Pacific Insurance partners and Management for claims administration.
  • Responsible for the initial and maintained reporting and active management of worker’s compensation and/or auto claims; maintain internal file notes
    regarding WC and auto claims.
  • Monitor claim progress with Management, note important milestones and keep all required parties current and informed with regular status updates.
  • Nurture solid relationships with claims adjusters, insurers, and other claims-related parties.
  • Maintain effective and timely coordination of communication with employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical staff, and lawyers, as required. Ensure
    smooth and accurate reporting of claims information.
  • Facilitate and/or coordinate all occupational health schedules (e.g., audiograms, respiratory-related exams/tests, Silica-related exams).
  • Actively maintains, supports EHS/RM systems to provide data to varying levels of Management for the organization.
  • Be the gatekeeper for all EHS-controlled documents; assist the EHS Department with document flow, approvals, revisions, and retention on the Clark Pacific SharePoint site.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • 4-Year college degree is required, preferably in risk management, occupational safety, or business administration but all will be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience handling workers’ compensation claims is preferred.
  • Legal and/or EHS experience is preferred.
