About the role:

As an EHS Senior Specialist , you will serve as an experienced individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that are complex in nature and that support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance.
What you will do:

• Primary EHS Professional responsible for Midland, Texas area operations that include an industry-leading service center and a variety of field operations.
• Collaborate with a team of EHS Professionals to maintain an ISO 14001/45001 certified management system and deliver continuous improvement.
• Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
• Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
• Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
• Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.

What you will have:

• Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.
• Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Top Candidates will have:

• Four-year college degree in EHS or a closely related field
• Current or previous oil & gas experience/background
• 14001/45001 certification
