EHR Project Manager
Essential Duties:
- Create, review, execute and evaluate project plans and objectives. Works with multi-functional teams defining project scope and implementation plans along with tracking and reporting project progress.
- Serves as a lead in the Electronic Health Records project. Collaborates with clients and team members to develop project proposals and plans. Prioritizes, delegates, and reviews the work of assigned project team members. Establishes schedules and methods for achieving project goals and objectives. Identifies and mitigates project risk, and reviews work products. Reports project status to appropriate parties and creates appropriate project documentation.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the Electronic Health Record information systems. Understands the relationship among systems and the data contained within the specific systems, to include but not limited to, information standards, code management, code management standards, dependency and interaction management, and release management.
- Maintains a high level of awareness of user needs and of new developments in the fields of process analysis and improvement, project management, healthcare and healthcare education information systems through research and participation in professional development opportunities such as seminars, conferences, and training. Provides new ideas for future developments and improvements that support the stated vision, mission, and values of the Electronic Health Records unit/section within the organization.
- Assists in maintaining training and help systems for the Electronic Health Record Information System. Maintains equipment in a proper state to ensure effective functionality.
- Serves as the project lead or co-lead to include supervising the activities and performance of project team members. Completes performance evaluations for assigned staff.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

- Environmental: Office Environment.
Experience:
- Required: 60 months experience in clinical automated systems and/or health records/health information management. Twenty-four of the 60 months must be directly related to health information project management.
- Preferred: Clinical expereince and/or using Epic EHR System.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Equivalency/Substitution: 48 months additional experience in clinical automated systems and/or health records/health information management for a total of 108 months experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
