Chores:

  • Draw blood from patients and blood donors, respecting strict safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Collect specimens according to appropriate procedures.
  • Prepare and label specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Maintain accurate medical records of patients, including their test results.
  • Safely dispose of hazardous waste and used needles.
  • Monitor blood and other specimen collection equipment for quality control.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and answering queries.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient comfort and care.

Standards:

  • Excellent knowledge of phlebotomy techniques, medical terminology, and laboratory procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and empathetic when dealing with patients.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • The ability to uphold the highest health and safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • 18 years old and above.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination.
  • CPR and First Aid certification if required.
  • Ability to undergo background check.
