Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

This is a hybrid position that is exclusive to Neurology - you will be cross-trained to do both neurological testing (EMG, EEG) and clinical tasks. This is an exciting position where you will have the opportunity to learn both in-patient and ambulatory tests. On the job training will be provided.

The EEG/EMG Technician assists physicians in a fast-paced, high-volume environment by providing the neurological imaging reports. This position operates image technology, performs tests, and completes other patient care needs within their scope of practice. Also responsible for maintaining EEG/EMG processes for order completion.

Responsibilities

1. Performs EEG's/EMG's and addresses referrals in a timely manner.
2. Maintain EEG/EMG records from completion and translation to billing.
3. Participates in performance improvement activities.
4. Communicates well with other departments and physicians' office staff.
5. Ensures accurate and timely communication with appropriate providers regarding test results.
6. Able to problem-solve, trouble shoot EEG/EMG - EMR integration.
7. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

• One year previous experience.
• Certification.
