Position Overview:
The Continuous Improvement Technician is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process to allow operation at the highest standard of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Assist in implementing policies, standards, and procedures for the Engineering and Production Departments.
· Develop and document detailed manufacturing processes.
· Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues as related to manufacturing processes.
· Assist in analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that nurture a culture of Continuous Improvement.
· Develop and implement 5-S processes on the production floor.
· Build and maintain relationships with tooling reps to facilitate the best machining options.
· Participate in new business quoting, design review, quality planning, and corrective action measures.
· Assist in assuring company compliance with applicable environmental and safety regulations.
· Purchase tooling and shop supplies through ERP systems; input Purchase Orders in JBoss to match portal entry.
· Manage projects on an as-needed basis.

Required
· GED or High School diploma
· Proven Lean Six Sigma experience- Green Belt level minimum
Preferred
· CNC Machine Shop: 5 years experience
· CAD/CAM: 1 year experience
· CNC Programming: 2+ years’ experience
· Quoting experience with turnkey CNC machined parts: 1+ year experience
