Nebraska Scientific is a Biology & Science supply company specializing in the preservation of biological specimens for use primarily in education. Have you ever dissected a frog or other specimen in school and wondered where it came from? Are you comfortable working in a warehouse/production environment? Skills and Requirements
- Process agricultural biological materials using common laboratory hand tools and chemicals
- This position requires repetitive hand motions such as grasping, holding, and turning when processing specimens
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time on concrete
- Ability to lift 10 pounds frequently, 25 pounds occasionally
- Able to frequently push/pull up to 500 pounds using a pallet jack or similar
- Physically able to perform the functions of the position
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience processing product that meets UDSA requirements is preferred
- At least 18 years old
- Reliable and punctual
Work Environment:
- In this position, you will be working directly with animal and animal products including organs, blood, and fat
- Work directly with and near chemicals used in preservation process wearing gloves and required PPE
- Work areas may have an unpleasant odor
