Job description

**Immediate Interview/ Hire**

Nebraska Scientific is a Biology & Science supply company specializing in the preservation of biological specimens for use primarily in education. Have you ever dissected a frog or other specimen in school and wondered where it came from? Are you comfortable working in a warehouse/production environment? If so, this just might be the place for you!

Skills and Requirements

  • Process agricultural biological materials using common laboratory hand tools and chemicals
  • This position requires repetitive hand motions such as grasping, holding, and turning when processing specimens
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time on concrete
  • Ability to lift 10 pounds frequently, 25 pounds occasionally
  • Able to frequently push/pull up to 500 pounds using a pallet jack or similar
  • Physically able to perform the functions of the position
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience processing product that meets UDSA requirements is preferred
  • At least 18 years old
  • Reliable and punctual

Work Environment:

  • In this position, you will be working directly with animal and animal products including organs, blood, and fat
  • Work directly with and near chemicals used in preservation process wearing gloves and required PPE
  • Work areas may have an unpleasant odor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
