K12 Coalition provides products and services that help K-12 schools and teachers achieve transformational learning outcomes. We tackle many of today’s toughest education obstacles, including teacher recruitment and retention, student learning acceleration, ongoing teacher coaching and development, long-range strategic planning, and school equity audits. K12 Coalition came together when educators with deep experience as teachers, school leaders and high-level district administrators observed a genuine need for something better. Our divisions include iteach, Teaching Channel, Insight Education Group and Lavinia Group.

The Opportunity

The Education Partnership Specialist is responsible for developing and expanding business for our professional development learning solutions. This role will focus on partnerships for Teaching Channel products with an opportunity to expand based on company strategy. This role reports to the Chief Partnership Officer.


What You’ll Do

Partnerships and Business Development (85%)

Process

  • Identify and qualify prospects to add to the sales pipeline through various methods in collaboration with leadership including: leverage of existing customer relationships for cross-selling, independent research, targeted telephone/email outreach, and additional creative approaches
  • Lead all aspects of the partnerships process for leads and specified territory including but not limited to: creating and developing proposals and pricing models, conducting presentations, closing sales through effective negotiation, and other activities
  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships not only with decision-makers and end users at current and prospective clients, but also with community leaders and representatives from relevant business associations
  • Network with prospective clients via seminars and other virtual opportunities

Knowledge & Learning

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business process, education market, partnerships process, technology, current trends, and competitive information
  • Provide market feedback to internal stakeholders to inform strategy
  • Maintain solid working knowledge of the complete range of applicable offerings and capabilities
  • Document daily activities in key systems to ensure accuracy and completeness with respect to pipeline management. Includes canceling opportunities that have aged and will not convert to avoid overstating pipeline

Communication

  • Create ongoing sales forecasts and provide accurate and timely opportunity information to leadership – primarily by maintaining accurate opportunity tracking and updates in the CRM
  • Serve as the main point of contact for prospective clients and internal team regarding your designated leads and territory
  • Maintain accurate sales logs/records and any other pertinent information in the CRM
  • Timely updates and accurate correspondence with Engagement Managers on new sale transitions or key account information gained to help ensure positive relationships with any and all clients.

Client Service (10%)

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to enhance effective service delivery as part of established protocols and roles

ROI Discipline (5%)

  • Maintain process and budgetary discipline within scope of operation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of K-12 education sales experience and/or 5+ years K-12 experience preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously - set priorities and maintain a robust and effective calendar
  • Ability to prospect, lead effective sales meetings, and give formal presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, issues, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to leverage a team based approach and bring in team experts to help close the sale

Compensation range for this position: $75,000-$95,000


As part of our commitment to pay equity, new hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the salary band minimum and the salary band midpoint depending on qualifications, location, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
