The Philadelphia Job Corps Center is located in South Philadelphia and is accessible by public transit. The Center provides students with opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Renewable Resources, Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, EMT, Patient Care Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Culinary Arts, and Facilities Maintenance.

As the Education and Training Director at Philadephia Job Corps Center, you are responsible for overseeing academic and career technical training programs for students. It is your duty to ensure that students make progress, achieve their goals, and complete the Job Corps program successfully. You should provide industry-recognized training and credentials that prepare students for full-time jobs, higher education, or advanced training. It is essential to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure the integrity of student data. Your passion for education, coupled with a strategic vision, will help develop and implement a curriculum that meets industry standards and addresses the unique needs of our student population.

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development:

Student Success and Engagement:
- Implement strategies to enhance student engagement, motivation, and success.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop holistic support services that address the unique challenges our students may face.
- Create a dynamic and supportive learning environment that inspires students to excel academically and personally, laying the foundation for their own career growth.
- Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
Partnership Development:
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and educational institutions to enhance training opportunities and job placement prospects for our students.
- Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data-driven insights to assess program effectiveness and make informed decisions to continually improve educational outcomes.
- Ensures Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals
- Prepare regular reports for leadership and stakeholders on program performance and achievements.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school required. Master’s degree from an accredited school preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in program management and direction with substantial experience working with youth required.
- Experience working in Job Corps or closely related field preferred.
- Experience in teaching or related field preferred.
- Department of Labor approval required.
