The Aspen Grove School is a large, growing Early Childhood Education center (infants through 5 years) looking for a seasoned Director of Operations. We provide a nature-based, Reggio-inspired program in a beautiful, historic space spanning 20,000 square feet and filled with natural light. The Opportunity
The Director of Operations is a senior leadership position that reports directly to the Head of School providing administrative and operational support across the organization. The Director will serve as the hub of the school’s operations, their oversight includes: security/safety, front desk, facilities, compliance, vendor relations, database management, and HR generalist. The Director should be a systems thinker who has a customer service point of view, while also being responsive, accessible, and flexible.

The Director should be a team player who has a warm collaborative nature, positive energy, and a solid sense of humor. Superior organization, technology, and prioritization skills are essential. A strong candidate will be detail oriented and focused on task completion within tight deadlines, develop systems that are proactive in response to operational objectives, and be able to plan for all scenarios in their vision and implementation of school operations.
The Director of Operations will then operationalize this vision and mission –maintaining the school’s budget and fiscal management processes, managing administrative and operational functions and systems of the school. The Director should be a self-motivated multi-tasker who can delegate, keep projects moving, and is able to meet deadlines and budget guidelines. She/he/they must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact comfortably with a variety of people, sometimes under pressure and with competing priorities. This person will have a genuine empathy for people and an awareness of the needs and sensitivities of students, faculty, staff and administrators. They must ultimately be able to manage expectations and deliver operational support wherever needed.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of staff supervision
- Project management
- Budgetary oversight
- Vendor relation management
- ECE experience strongly preferred
Educational Requirements:
- BS/BA degree
Your Accountabilities:
- Ensure health and safety of all students and staff including conducting drills, delivering training and providing consistent follow up
- Manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate teaching staff to maintain child experience and compliance parameters
- Manage tracking and follow up for payroll, employee benefits and related HR tasks
- Ensure compliance with DHS state regulations and all state, federal, and local employment laws and policies
- Ensure maintenance of school facilities
- Provide high quality project management support/leadership for a variety of priority projects/initiatives as required.
- Document core processes and ensure that they are followed by all, using the EOS approach (training will be provided)
- Lead, manage and hold accountable all direct reports: front desk, facilities, and support staff
- Address all compliance issues; stay abreast of new regulations
- Purchase, manageinventory and distribution of all services and supplies including sourcing and selecting the right vendors.
- Process all accounts receivables and payables
- Perform other duties as requested by Head of School

Salary Range: $70,000-$76,000 / year
