This position reports to the Director of Educational Talent Search.
This position will work primarily off-site at a high school, with daily contact with high school students and personnel, with one day per week in office at Roosevelt University’s Chicago campus.

Demonstrated ability to successfully work with students of diverse cultural, economic, and academic background, with specific work being done with low-income and first generation college bound students.
Experience in advising, mentoring, and guiding students through the college access process.
Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with students, staff, school personnel, parents, and community partners.
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt’s core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
A positive and professional demeanor is a must.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Bilingual and Bicultural in Spanish or French.
This position will share individual work spaces with other counselors and staff and be supplied with office equipment to perform job duties.
