If you are an experienced Social Media strategist, writer and Content Planner with demonstrated talent in writing, curating and editing content especially on Social Media platforms you have found the right team. As one of the most-followed financial brands, Chase communicates with millions of Social Media users across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and more. A key focus of this role will be to support the Chase Social Media Content Strategy and Production.

As a Senior Associate Editorial Strategy & Content Planner for Chase Social Media you will assist in supporting content strategy, editorial planning and copywriting for Chase Social Media Channels. You will work closely with graphic designers, videographers, and photographers in the planning and development of financial health education content for consumer audiences, as well as brand storytelling. In addition, you will leverage your social listening insights, performance data, and social trends to inform content strategy, while also aligning it to Chase's brand identity and tone of voice.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Editorial & Planning Lead and Content Director to elevate editorial quality of Chase’s Social Media content, with a focus on personal finance topics geared toward millennial and Gen Z audiences.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with key internal teams, e.g. Content team who develops creative assets, Line of Business partners with messages regarding Chase products and services, Community Management and Insights.
  • Support development of effective and engaging storytelling for Chase, including video and editorial, with a focus on small business stories and employee features.
  • Write and edit Social Media posts for various platforms – ensuring alignment with strategy, brand identity, and content tentpoles. This will include pitching, researching, original reporting, expert interviews, and fact-checking.
  • Collaborate with the Community Management team and Social Listening and Reporting team to leverage data and analytics, audience insights and consumer research to inform financial health topics on Chase Social Media channels.
  • Build content in Chase Social Media’s content management systems (e.g. Sprinklr) for scheduling and publishing.
  • Participate in pitch meetings to produce timely content; strategize, plan and manage content publishing calendar across multiple Social Media channels.
  • Inform our content strategy by staying current on social trends and platform changes and align that to Chase’s brand identity and editorial franchises (e.g., repeatable miniseries).
  • Pitch creative ideas and help carry them from concept to execution to lead online engagement with Social Media audiences, and coordinate posting schedule with the Content Strategy and Production team.
  • Partner with Editorial Planning Lead/Content Director on creative reviews for key content deliverables. Copy-edit content (all formats) including key messaging, client / employee stories and scripts.
  • Support creative guidelines for content quality, designed to improve audience engagement and support team members on various projects and campaigns, effectively communicating timelines, status and results.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Social Media content creation, editorial planning and / or writing.
  • Experience with creative and social copywriting, including sourcing and interviewing experts to create data-backed content that helps audiences understand complex financial health topics; understanding of visual storytelling: from authentic and relatable photography to engaging and accessible infographics.
  • Strong editorial / journalistic judgment, with an eye for fact-checking standards; an interest in writing topics that help people better understand their money and build their financial future.
  • Understanding of creative best practices as well as the content development process from concept to completion including: supporting creative strategy and review; offering feedback on narrative; providing editorial direction; and amplifying visual storytelling.
  • Understanding of editorial best practices and knowledge, including how to: mine for stories; identify engaging and appealing central characters; interview key sources; identify and build story arcs; create, edit, and review written content.
  • Experience with informing social strategy by taking multiple data points to identify editorial moments / topics that will resonate with social audiences, across different platforms.
  • Confidence to pitch fresh ideas within the team, think creatively, and identify and solve problems; proactive by nature and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written – with the ability to tailor approach based on audience; excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives; ability to self-motivate, work well across teams, work on multiple projects at the same time, and produce high-quality work; ability to write in Chase’s voice.
  • Executive presence and public speaking capability, strong ability to problem-solve and think critically and a team player with enthusiastic attitude and entrepreneurial spirit. Eager to learn, have fun, contribute and make an impact.
  • Understanding of economic and personal finance news category / Social Media vertical as well as an understanding of regulatory and legal guardrails and policies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, e.g. Word and PowerPoint.
