Form of workThe Dallas Morning News offers an internship on our Pulitzer Prize winning Editorial Board. The main responsibilities for this intern are participating as a member of the editorial board, supporting board members, researching and possibly writing editorials representing the News' opinions and proposing Op-Ed columns under the intern's own byline. This is a 12 week paid intership The intern will be called upon for any number of support roles, including metrics analysis, CMS management, and a variety of editorial duties from arranging interviews to taking part in board meetings.
This job requires in-person attendance in our downtown Dallas office. Applicants should send at least eight writing clips or links, with an emphasis on opinion content as available. Applicants should also include 200 words on why opinion writing is important to them, and the types of topics they would be interested in writing on and why.

The clips or links should focus on the specific position the applicant desires, but materials showing a variety of reporting and writing abilities are acceptable.
