Starting base salary range is $60,000-$75,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. Full benefits are available and the position is eligible for the Staff level annual bonus program.
Summary of Position:
AVIXA (Audiovisual & Integrated Experience Association) is seeking a dynamic Video and Content Editor, Education to join our Content Delivery team. Reporting to the Digital Video Manager, you will help guide the successful execution of educational video content for AVIXA’s e-learning courses and AVIXA TV.

What will you do?
As a part of AVIXA’s in-house video team, you will collaborate with our in-house instructors and experts to conceptualize and develop engaging content for AVIXA’s virtual coursework, while also looking for opportunities to re-purpose content for broader audiences on social media platforms like YouTube and LinkedIn.
From short “tips and tricks” to long-form deep dives into highly technical subjects, you will create storyboards, shoot video, edit, design, and animate engaging educational content. You will support AVIXA TV’s livestream at industry events like InfoComm as well as leverage opportunities to film with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) whenever they are in AVIXA’s headquarters in Northern Virginia.
For all initiatives, you will communicate with internal and external partners to ensure deliverables are completed and timelines are met – all within budget. You will partner with our editorial, Xchange, and social media teams to promote the stories that will resonate with our audience.

You’re a life-long learner. You love taking complex ideas and distilling them into easy-to-understand short-form and/or long-form video content. You are extremely well organized, with a deep understanding of how to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once. You love keeping up on the latest social trends and formats for delivering video content that captures and retains audiences.
You excel at communication and collaboration with everyone and believe that data – whether gleaned through analytics, feedback, or experience – is at the root of success. You get a thrill from diving into the details, while keeping a steady eye on the strategic prize. You’re always looking to learn more about digital trends, audiences, and video production/ editing best practices. Bonus points if you have knowledge of the AV industry!
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Work with the Video and education teams through the stages of production – including storyboarding, script development, video capture and post-production.
- Create and edit in-house videos, supporting educational, editorial, and social media initiatives.
- An understanding of video production fundamentals, such as equipment, editing, color grading, lighting and graphics.
- Strong design and motion graphics skills to translate concepts into easy-to-understand graphics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to brainstorm ideas and ensure project completion.
- Help maintain AVIXA’s video asset bank.
- Stay on top of relevant innovations in video production, social media trends and Content delivery.
- Assist with analyzing user needs, behaviors, and competitive trends, to make data-driven decisions.
- Attend industry and association events on behalf of the company.
- Ensure OKRs are effectively defined, measurable, and monitored.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ About You:

Education:Knowledge and experience are prioritized. College/ education may be considered alongside direct experience.
Experience Level: Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bonus points for non-profit, AV, software, and/or media experience.
Certifications: n/a (Bonus points for video production or CTS)
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Proficient in animation software like Adobe After Effects.
- Working knowledge of photo and graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Working knowledge of camera operation, sound capture and lighting techniques.
- Proficient in MS Office.
Other skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time through our project management software ClickUp. Growing awareness of how to prioritize projects and/or clarify requirements to increase autonomy and efficiency
- Problem-solving, decision-making collaboration skills
