MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Communication or a related field appropriate to the work of position AND three years of experience writing and editing technical documents, processes, and procedures; OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above; OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. A background in behavioral health or a related field is preferred.
- Must have expert knowledge to write and edit documents tailored to specified media and audiences, often to include substantial rewriting.
- Broad knowledge of publishing concepts, practices, standards, and technologies for the media used.
- Knowledge of design, graphics, colors, layout and illustration techniques to showcase the material in an integrated, readable manner to facilitate the comprehension and understanding of the intended audience.
- Ability to use own judgment and creative skills to interpret programs, policies, and other initiatives of high interest for internal and external audiences.
- Must have a high degree of initiative, creativity, and professional skill.
