The ideal candidate will have a passion for Latin American history, art, literature, as well as a keen understanding of the political landscape in the region. Additionally, they must be dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest developments and news in Latin America. As our Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping and refining content that reflects the essence of Latin culture, delves into its political dynamics, and incorporates the most recent news and events.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread written materials, ensuring clarity, coherence, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with writers to improve the quality and cultural authenticity of content related to Latin culture, politics, and current events.
- Research and fact-check content to ensure cultural and political accuracy and relevance.
- Provide guidance and feedback to writers on cultural nuances, idioms, political developments, and sensitivities.
- Stay continuously updated on current events, trends, and political developments in Latin America.
- Integrate the latest news and developments into relevant content in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Political Science, English, Literature, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Editor, preferably with a focus on Latin culture, politics, and current affairs.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Profound knowledge of Latin American history, art, literature, cultural nuances, and political dynamics.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with style guides and editorial standards.
