RESPONSIBILITIES
EDI
- Install upgrades and program fixes to EDI translation and AS2 software
- Design, develop, test, implement, train, and support EDI solutions
- Create and support translation maps for inbound and outbound documents
- Liaison with Supply Chain team, trading partners, and software vendors
- Automation of EDI support and administrative processes
- Monitor EDI system health including timely response to alerts
- Maintain detailed documentation and process flows for all EDI processes IT is responsible for
Support and Troubleshooting
- Perform application support and troubleshooting for designated applications including analyzing and resolving support tickets
- Work with the appropriate internal staff and third parties to resolve tickets in specialty areas requiring their skills
- Document the steps involved in resolving the support tickets
Other
- Assist with development and troubleshooting of reports
- Participate in team on-call rotation
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- Certifications: Not required, but valuable
- 5+ years of experience providing EDI solutions including definition, mapping, ERP integration, and testing required
- Experience with TrustedLink for i translator desired
- Experience with Infor LX (formerly known as BPCS) and Electronic Commerce Manager (ECM) desired
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) desired
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Expert knowledge of EDI transactions especially creation of customer / vendor orders, acknowledgements, invoices (inbound/outbound), load tenders, and advance shipment notices required
- Understanding of relational databases required
- Demonstrated understanding of SQL required
- Demonstrated research, analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Understanding of XML and JSON desired
- Understanding of REST API desired
- Ability to work closely with individuals in a team environment
- Comfort working with Windows Servers and IBM i environment desired
- Detail Oriented
- Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end user procedures
- Persistence in resolving issues without becoming upset or overly frustrated
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly
