Job description

  • The Wholesale EDI Specialist is a self-starter who oversees day-to-day operations of our clients through EDI processes and is a key member of our organization.
  • This role consists of being our liaison to our warehouse, production and operations management teams.
  • The best candidate is someone who is not afraid of overcoming obstacles and contributes to the entire team by ensuring daily business process flow without interruption from EDI to help drive results.
  • Last but not least, the candidate must have a positive and can-do attitude and has a passion for delivering impact from day one.

  • Duties and Responsibilities (D&R include, but not limited to) Monitor EDI communications with internal/external partners to insure no interruptions.
  • Process and maintain shipping and routing compliance for all accounts.
  • Management of required EDI transactions, routing deadlines, shipment methods, cancel dates, etc.
  • Manage daily EDI production support with all stakeholders to ensure on time operations.
  • Review guides to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated to our warehouse.
  • Constant communication with Production and Operations management teams regarding extensions and shipping updates.
  • Assist with daily activities of the Shipping and Receiving Departments.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage PO’s (purchase orders) from initial bulk allocation through shipment.
  • Constantly monitor inventory levels to maintain accurate information and communicate any discrepancies to the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory information by systematically making adjustments, if needed.
  • Update PO’s, prices, ship windows, etc.
  • Coordinate and assist with internal questions related to order processing.
  • Analyze, review, dispute and/or submit charge-back violations for processing.
  • Ensure all EDI transactions are sent and received by deadline.
  • Order Management and Distribution.
  • Identify order management metrics that will assist in improving efficiency, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Review discrepancies and other issues with the Operations and Production teams.
  • Perform duties and special requests as required by the team leader to ensure timely order processing and high customer satisfaction/service.
  • Ensure operating and quality standards are met on Company’s objectives.
  • Create and maintain customer data such as addresses and key contact lists.
  • Accurately enter and modify customer orders via EDI. A successful candidate will also have: Bachelor's degree (preferred) A strong knowledge of EDI (required) At least 2 years of experience with EDI order processing, invoicing, and/or data entry (required) Experience with order processing systems Good MS Excel skills GXS Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
