KeyBank ("Key") is developing a climate risk framework in order to assess and manage physical and transition risks pertaining to the bank's operations as well as its portfolio. As part of this framework, Key created an Environmental and Social Risk Management Policy which outlines Key’s risk management principles with respect to Environmental & Social risks (E&S risks). E&S risks are defined as: Potential adverse consequences to Key or its employees that arise 1) directly from the impact of Key’s business activities on the natural environment or people (e.g., employees, communities, customers, clients, shareholders), 2) from changes to the natural environment, including climate change, and 3) indirectly through environmental or social factors associated with Key’s clients, shareholders, third parties, or communities within Key’s footprint.

Essential Job Functions

Key is seeking an EDF Climate Corps Fellow who can support the implementation of this policy in various capacities. An initial step will be the selection of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for each E&S risk category, that will enable Key to measure how risky certain activities are in relation to business objectives and provide early warning signals when risks (both strategic and operational) move in a direction that may prevent the achievement of Key Performance Indicators. The selected KRIs will be presented to management committees via a dashboard. The EDF Climate Corps Fellow will also be expected to support other components of Key's climate risk framework buildout.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate of $35 per hour depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience.
