POSITION SUMMARY:
As directed by a Registered Nurse, the ED Technician completes tasks that support the care of patients presenting to Emergency Services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to transporting patients, providing general basic patient care, answering call bells, and assisting patients with non-nursing functions. Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations, also be able to employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures. Also must participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include the wearing of a respirator. This is a union position.
The estimated base pay for this position is $21.29 -$32.33 hourly. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Please contact our Talent Acquisition team for more information.

Education:
High School graduate or equivalent, Certified graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician Training School, or equivalent
Experience:
Previous emergency department experience, hospital experience or ambulance experience.
Licenses/Certificates:
Current BLS Certification (upon hire/transfer or within 30 days of hire/transfer date) Arrhythmia Recognition - proof of current competency within 1 year.
Current California EMT Certification required.
Registered with California Emergency Medical Services Authority
