Responsibilities:
  • Engages in the development, interpretation, implementation, and support of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and econometric models as listed in the Desired Skills section below
    • Consults with clients on the use of mathematical statistics, assessing modeling needs, and defining project scope
    • Works with clients to analyze needs for analytic information and converts them into action items, requests, or projects
    • Provides input into the overall strategy and statistical methodologies used to solve quantitative business problems
    • Researches appropriateness and availability of data resources required for each project
    • Applies the most appropriate modeling and/or data science techniques to the problem at hand
    • Provides critical interpretation of findings
    • Coordinates and collaborates with other members of the project team
    • Presents findings to appropriate audiences, including Executive
    • Assists in solutions for model deployment
    • Develops strategies and methodologies to validate model performance following implementation
    • Applies programming skills to make use of computer intensive analysis techniques
    • Uses knowledge of business areas and research skills to address a diverse range of real-world business issues and to solve business problems
    • Serves as a skilled consultant/researcher on important business and economic issues
    • Routinely engages in quantitative analysis on a variety of non-standard and unique business problems
    • Serves as the Enterprise resource for economic analysis and forecasting
    • Educates clients on the impact of the economy and external factors on their business area
Qualifications:
Desired Skills:

Proficiency building econometric and AI/ML models, while applying appropriate theory
Experience coding in Python or R; experience using AWS SageMaker and Jupyter Notebook is preferred
Proven ability to manipulate, clean and analyze large data sets (>250M records)
Demonstrates strong organizational, communication (both verbal and written), teamwork and problem-solving skills Passion for serving the customer
Demonstrates initiative and willingness to develop, while sharing that knowledge with others
Insurance experience preferred
Masters/PHD in Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, MIS or Business Analytics or a related field or 5+ years’ experience
